If potential clients don't know your name yet, they'll be looking for what you offer.

Please note : It is better to have links from quality sites pointing at yours, and waiting for Google, yahoo and Bing to discover your site that way.

What are Meta tags ?

You might have heard about meta tags or meta data. Many website builders will sell you "search engine optimization" by just allowing you to edit these.

If you are serious about your website, understand that search engines will judge your site mainly on the quality of your content and its organisation. Meta tags are less important than links from others quality sites to yours for example. Meta tags only won't help a poor site.

However, Meta tags have their importance in helping readers and search engines.

SimDif, in Starter as well as Pro sites, allows you to edit 4 different meta tags that can be used to help readers and search engines understand your site a bit better.

What are Keywords?

They come from your reader, not from you.
They are the words and expressions that are used by your clients or potential visitors.
They are used spontaneously in both real life and when people search on Google. They can vary with location, because your clients form their questions differently.
They are the words and phrases people use to find things on the web. If you can mirror the language of your intended readers, you'll get more visitors.

Don't forget that there are now billions of sites on the web. If you try to use (compete for) phrases that bigger, older sites are using you may not succeed. Try to find the phrases that fit with your niche, the things that separate you from the others.
